It looks like there is a pretty bad snowstorm on the horizon for tonight, so I figured I’d stay in and focus my attention on The Hellblog.
While at work, I’ve been thinking about the site quite a bit, and what I can do with it. The first thought that came to mind, was to lift the 30 user limit. I was deleting inactive users before, but if if we go to unlimited users, then it really doesn’t matter. To limit the number of spammers and whatnot, I’ll still authorize who can join and who can’t.
I was going through the blogroll the other day, and found a lot of blogs that have been deleted. It’s getting hard to keep up with who still has an active blog, and who doesn’t….especially when you have over 20 to go through daily, so what I’m going to do is is get rid of it.
If you want people to visit your blog through this site, go to the WordPress Dashboard -> Users -> Edit -> Enter your blog URL where it says ‘Website’.
This only works via your comments. If you want to advertise it in your posts, I won’t be opposed to you putting a signature in your posts, or just making shameless plugs for your site….as long as they don’t boarder on being spam…
As the one year anniversary of The Hellblog approaches, I’m thinking I won’t bother renewing the domain name. I’m thinking of purchasing a different one, and renaming the blog to something more suitable. I like the Hellblog name, but I’m thinking there is something better suited for it. If you have any suggestions, send them to Mark@TheHellBlog.com
That’s all for now. Perhaps I’ll add on to this later tonight.
