Oh jes.
I called in sick to work today but I went in later and sat in the waiting room as a patient. How odd it feels to sit in the waiting room. It is so much better to be sitting there. I wish they paid me just to sit there.
So after waiting 10 mins, I’m finally called inside. I get the “Vanessa, what are you doing here!?” Pfft. I’m sick. STFU already.
The doctor comes in and asks, “So, are you ready for your operation?” Heh, Mr. Funny Doctor. It turns out my fun allergy has come back for me and has also given me a throat infection. Hooray, hooray, nothing new. I’m still worried about my blood pressure because it’s 132/93, and I didn’t go to work today (I can’t use the “work-related stress” excuse). So the doctor says, “have you ever thought that maybe it’s just because you’re coming in to see the doctor?” Hmm…
So, I’m done, and I’m getting ready to leave and I figure if he’s going to be funny, I can be funny too. “So, umm, do I need a doctor’s note for work tomorrow?” He says, “No, you have to work all day tomorrow, I plan to see you here at 8AM.” Heh, Mr. Funny Doctor.
Well, I checked my blood pressure at the pharmacy, just to test his theory. It was 105/78. Pfft. He’s so smart.
I think I just might worship the ground he walks on.
